Mission Statement

Scott City First exists to be an ever growing body of believers, Surrendering ourselves to God, 

Strengthening ourselves in God's Word, and Shining the light of God's love to the world. 

~"Surrendering" has to do with our worship of God and our vertical relationship with Him through worship, prayer, music, drama, and other fine arts. 

We also worship God in the giving of our time, talents, and treasure to Him and His Kingdom.

~"Strengthening" means we are actively pursuing the knowledge of God and His Word. This happens through Bible study, through preaching, teaching, and encouraging one another. Through Bible study and sermons we are educated in Spiritual Gifts. We believe that every child of God has at least one Spiritual Gift, and our church helps you identify and exercise that gift. 

~"Shining" is all about taking Christ to a hopeless world. We do this in a number of ways, but among the most significant is through a ministry we call: "C.O.G. - Community Outreach Group". We strive to be a lighthouse and a beacon in our community by helping to alleviate poverty. While we contribute to local missions, we also contribute to international missions. We sponsor those who are serving as missionaries all over the world.
